Equipment Review and Discussion :: Equipment for 40 gallon tank

Im going to buy a 40 gallon tank soon. I currently have the Tetra brand heater and Filter. will these be fine in a bigger tank or will i need to upgrade? and if new products are needed which do you recommend?

To be honest.....A 40 gallon is gonna be too small for 4 turtles.
You should get a 75 gallon now, or you will have to get one eventually.By spending a little more now, you save a lot later.
As per the heater and filter depends on the Watts and GPH they are.

I have 6 "little" turtles in a 30 gallon tank at the moment, but i always buy and sell tanks lol.....Got it for 30 bucks
it will hold them off till i find a deal on a 125 gallon

try craigslist in your area.....That's by far the best place to buy and trade fish tanks.
I got my 75 gallon for $200, tank,stand,light,heater,and a cascade 1500 canister filter.
Got the 30 gallon for $30.00 tank,stand,and light and a fluval 304 for an extra $30.00.
Just wait for a few weeks....Good deals pop up all the time.
