Do they make any products to increase the height of your tank so it can be an added wall and also to clamp lights on? or what do you guys use to make an added structure around your tank?

If I'm not mistaken by what you mean, the add-on walls is it like the rock wall thingy inside the wall tank?

Here in my country, they do sell that wall structure thingy to put inside the wall tank to make the tank looks some sort natural environment BUT the material they are using is styrofoam (come with many natural colour looks and can cut for what size customer want) which is not good for turtles because turtle loves to scratch it or eat it :x and will make such a mess or not-so-good-looking background at the end

I have this info because people at petstore who selling it tell me not to buy it because its not good for turtle.

No, I've seen some members have a glass or plexi-glass wall that protrude above their tanks, which provide a place to clamp their lights and also a barrier so their turtles can't escape if they make a ATBA (above tank basking area.)

Owh sorry for misunderstanding you  hihi

I used wires and make like a small cage for my turtles basking area and their platform I used plexiglass covered by river rocks.

Anyway I make my own ATBA since I don't have clamp light fixture so I used light stand.

easy2putt - Yep, just some plexiglass or even light diffuser (eggcrate) from the hardware store. Most anything you see on this site are user-made, so just think creatively or chat with a hardware person for suggestions.

I think if you describe a little better what you are thinking, you may get additional responses. What height are you looking at achieving? Is the sole purpose to hold up a lamp? Have you considered building a full-out above-tank basking area?

I was thinking of building a ATBA to be half that of the tank. But if I rasie the water level all the way to the top don't I have to worry about thes guys possibly climbing out? I'm thinking keeping my 2/3 water setup with a ATBA on top. I guess I'll have to cut the screen on top to accomodate the ATBA.

If you raise the water level up, you could use something like the eggcrate to make a screen over the portion of the tank so they can't escape. Remember that "all the way up" is about 2" from the top anyways. Then you can put the ATBA over the other half, and set up some type of screen or maybe chicken wire or something to cover the opening from the water. I think there are some great photos around the board, I'd search ATBA and see what comes up. Then just PM the author and see if they can explain anything.
