Equipment Review and Discussion :: Anyway to grow moss/plants on plain rocks?

I just got 2 chunks of (overpriced imo) plain, rough, grey rocks to serve as back scratchers, but they're looking a bit bland. Are there anything to make moss or plants attach on them?

Algae can grow, but they can quickly be a problem. I'm not sure of other submerged plants that can thrive in that type of substrate.
