Not a bad deal if it comes with everything, and is in good working order. Those tubes in the picture aren't the original hoses that come with it. If you go for it i'd be really cautious about it, check it out really well before you go for it. Maybe see if you can bargain down the price a bit.

Does it come with the Python? The price seems a bit high for a used, discontinued filter.

Ooh now that you mention it, those tubes do look like a Python! I didn't know they stopped making the 404. I wonder if that would make it harder to get replacement parts...

Nah you can still get replacement parts very easily through fluval or somewhere else. I wouldn't pay $75 for it personally. Too bad the $85 ebay deals are all gone, would of been good for you.

I had one of those 4+ filters running on a 55gallon tank filled w/ about 50 gallons. I couldn't believe how well it did. Water was nice and clear, it's all in positioning it. Only problem is there's little to no biological filtration.
