Oh yeah forgot to say XP3 has 350gph. But you probably already knew that.

Hope it goes smoothly for ya.

Thanks so much Chris, I called Petsmart this morning and they apologized. I walked in and swapped the xp4 for an xp3 with no problems. So that saved me around $80. It didn't take long to set up the filter now I just need to finish decorating the aquarium. :D

It was $189.99. I probably could have gotten it cheaper online but I'm impatient. I'm currently waiting on a mecury vapor bulb to come in from Amazon.com but I still need to buy a fixture for it since the one I have just gave out on me.

Be sure to get a regular, non-dimming fixture for your MVB. Like fluorescent lights, they hate dimmers.

java I feel your pain, I live in Houston and the biggest tank I found was a 40 gallon breeder thank that I bought for a rescued red-ear slider. She is 2 years old and was in a 5 gallon Eclipse tank when I got her. Want to upgrade but she is in obviously better conditions now. Aquarium World could not help, check out the Reptile Store and Char's. I have not been to either but have it on it good authority from another local turtle owner that they have wonderful equipment.

I've been planning this upgrade since I got the turtle in May. Luckily I was able to sell some stuff on eBay for some $ and I had some savings to go all out with. My last steps are to hunt down some black sand, and purchase an air stone. I currently have a large volcano in the middle of the tank and I think Bubble would enjoy chasing around some bubbles coming out of the middle of the volcano. :D

They have black "Tahitian moon sand" at Petsmart. I think it's around $20 per 20lb bag.

However if you look online, there are places that sell 50lb bags of it for about $30.

I have got to see this setup once it's done. I think it's going to be a Turtle Paradise!!

haha thanks, I already started a thread in the photo gallery section. I'm going to petsmart tomorrow to get the sand and I'm ordering a air pump/hose/stone off bigals.
