Hi all!
I'm working on my pre-owned fluval 304 canister filter to get it up and running.

I have all parts except the "hose elbows" and the "hosing brackets".

It's hard to tell from the pictures if I should be using both of these at the same time to hold the hoses in place.

Are they supposed to be used together?
Does anyone use only the elbows or only the brackets in their set-up?

Thanks in advance for your help, its my first time with a canister filter so this is not so obvious to me.

I think it is only necessary to use one or the other. I think maybe the brackets are for framed tanks, and the elbows are for frameless tanks. I use the brackets on my framed tank.
