So I've been searching online for a cheaper bulb because I've been paying about $50 bucks a bulb and It’s about that time of year where I need to go out and get two new ones. $100 bucks for light bulbs is making me queasy so I decide to search online for better prices. And this site seems to have some pretty good deals. http://www.petstore.com/ Does anyone have any experience with this site?? This is the bulb that I usually get at the pet store for $47.99 each.

The second one I'm not to sure about. Its desingnd for birds but the output is still 5.0. So I'm not to sure what to make of it. It would be great if this one worked just as well for reptiles :)

Even with the cost of shipping I'll save $40 bucks so hopfully you all will have some good news about the site.

The one for the birds could have a different wavelength, so I would check with the manufacturer about the actual differences.

This one is $20.45 http://www.reptilesupply.com/product.ph ... cts_id=434

Petmountain is a good place online to buy bulbs. I find the prices reasonable, and have never had a problem with the company.

Exo terra is the brand of UVB bulb I've always used with my turtles. I've never had any issues with the bulbs. I've never tried anything else so I can't say if it's a better or worse bulb, but I've been satisfied with it.

Hmmm, Maybe I'll give ExoTerra a try. Its much more affordable then the zoomed bulbs that I usually buy. Does anyone know if petsmart matches their online prices? And thanks for all the advice!!

We also have the Exo-Terra Repti Glo 5.0 Compact Fluorescent.

As far as Petsmart, I was able to find one in Detroit that matched a competitor's online price (for a Rena xP3), but apparently now their store policy is to only match their own online website prices & not a competitor's online price.
