I am running a Cascade 1200 right now on my 70 Gl tank. I am fairly new to herps but have kept lots of fish before and I have no complaints on this filter, keeps the water very clean and the water quality, once set, stays where it needs to be for the most part. As far as noise goes, it's a bit noisier than other filters that I have used but, once the door is closed on the stand, I don't even notice it.

I too hesitated on buying this as I hadn't heard much on them either neg or pos. I would definitely recommend this filter as a solution to the high cost of filters. No problems yet on mine. Priming was a bit harder than other filters but, once I overcame that, it has been solid.
2 RES hatchlings, affectionately named "Thunder" and "Lightning". Purchased in Chinatown for $6, their habitat over $500, the satisfaction that I felt when it was all set up and my turts enjoying their new home = priceless!
