It's cheaper than petsmart...Saving for the FX5 is a possibilty...I am selling stuff on ebay right now to fund this purchase

I couldn't use the FX5 on the 30 gallon though...it would puree my turtles LOL

You can still get a decent filter for a 30 gallon for around $30-50. Maybe a hang-on-tank, like an Aquaclear?

chris-va -- What ever you get don't forget the gph that it puts out. You will need at least 5 or more volume turn over. GPH GPH GPH -- b.

I don't think GPH is all I'm looking for
this "bad boy" puts out 90 gph and I have it in a 10 gallon tank

thats 9X what the tank holds

and when I clean it it's got maybe 3 anacharis leaves in it

I sucks...well it doesn't suck
