darn, they all seem expensive. I made another topic about buying a new filter, probably a XP4 since I will upgrade later on......I'll have to wait until later to get a turtle log since I have to save.

By the way Bumby, sorry if I'm stealing your topic but you said your turtles are 2 inches, mine are about 2.5 almost 3 inches and was wondering, do your turtles have a lot of room to get in and out of the log? Do you think mine would get stuck? I would worry if there was any risk in that.

I have one of those logs for about 4 months and have had no problems at all. My turtles love sleeping inside it at night and playing on it during the day.

It's $32.99 at Petsmart.com. Printout the page and bring it to your local Petsmart for a price match.

My babies seem to have plenty of room. I know they aren't recommended for turtles over 4 inches because they can get stuck in there. I really don't know if 3 inches would get stuck or not....

I just bought it a couple of days ago for $39.99.
At first they were dead scared of the log but now they climb and swim in and out of it often. I'm very glad I bought it, and yes, mine also have plenty of room to swim in and out.

Sylar loves his. So far we haven't had any problems. I don't know WHAT I'll replace it with when he gets too big for it!

I have had the turtle log in my tank for several months now and the turtles love it! In fact, they fight over who gets to bask on it, although sometimes they share.

The only problem is that algae and waste tend to collect inside the log so I have to take it out and clean it every other week or so.
