Hey guys the wife and i decided to get the Adult RES a bigger tank, we already got one set aside, a steal for a complete perfecto 135 gallon stand, hood, tank $300 just have to find a large enough truck and find a spare weekend to pick it up...
now in the 80 gallon i use just an older magnum 350 it works fine with the assistance of a power head, without it its a nightmare hard to prime not the easiest to take apart, although i have gotten the nack for it now...
after looking at things like the XP4 and so on i think it would be smarter to do a combo of 2 350gph units and it would get me to the 5 times circulation ratio... The magnum is cheeper and i do know how to work it fine replacements are cheep but being an older model im kinda affraid if i get 2 more i might end up with 3 obsolete filters here in a couple years...
should i look at other filters? or stay with the magnum 350 and just stock up?
i am gonna use the filters in combo sucking through an undergravel filter in both tanks when its done...
if there is a nice single unit i could use to handle two adult turtles in a 135 let me know about that aswell... the only thing i could find that even came close was the pondmaster filters.
Most others were 500gph or less, and I'm looking for 5x water to filter per hour... so atleast 675gph when done
Give me your input, thanks
