Yay. I just got the new 55 gallon tank all filled up with water and just finished getting the xp3 set-up. Every 2 minutes or so lots of bubbles start to go through the tubing and it makes a really loud noise when it comes oiut. I have the spray bar below the water. And when I look at the filter, you can see air in there and the water is not totally to the top. I made sure everything was on tight. I have all the spong things on the bottom, and the ceramic rings in the middle and one above that. Then I have the chem zorb and the white pad thing on the top.
What is with all the bubbles? And how do I get rid of them?

Is the pressure nozzle on your spray bar above the water line? I remember them mentioning that in the set up video.

I had the same problem my pressure valve was below the water line. Also I re primed the filter and it has been fine ever since.

Thanks! I re primed the filter and now it barely makes any noise. Just wondering, when the water is coming out of the spray bar, how fast and hard should the water be flowing?

mine flows pretty good, it seems strong i guess at first, but as long as its not creating an overpowering current and is steady and consistent i think youre okay.

Great thanks for all the help with this! Sorry to ask another question but... how loud is the filter supposed to be?

All i hear from mine is trickling water and a faint humming. Are you still getting a lot of air noise? I was having trouble with that last week, i took the top off and pulled the gasket off and cleaned it and put vaseline in it, it's much better now. Maybe just check the gasket to make sure it's in there good.

Quick Reply, thanks! No I just also hear a little bit of humming from the filter. I got rid of the air problem yesterday. I was just wondering if this was normal or not.

As long as it's just a little humming, i'd say it's a-ok. Have fun with the new setup :D
