Hi How is everyone! I haven't been on line much! Hope all is well and all our friends are well.
I have a question about bulbs. I am glad I finally saw the info on the Zoo Med UV. That is what I've just replaced. I was going to get another but I sent my husband and he came home with a different brand which seems to have worked out better after reviewing the info on the Zoo Med.
Anyway, we had a Zoo Med 10.0 which the instructions said to replace after 6 months which is now. My husband got a Fluker's 23 watt. Unlike the Zoo Med it does not instuct us to postion it diffrently during the burn out period. I have it at about 7 or more inches from his basking spot.
Does anyone know this brand? Is there a burn out period with this light and is it high enough UV for my turtle? Also how often does it have to be changed?
Thanks for all your help! 8)

On their website it says that the bulbs emit more than 5.0 fluorescent tubes so I'd be wary of keeping it as close as 7 inches away- I'd move it back a little.
I'd keep with the 6 month expiration period as far as when to replace it.
