question about poop

so, ive read that turtles eat their own poop, and that its normal..
anyways, i havent seen my turtle eat his poop, but here lately, i havent had to remove as much..i just dont see it like i used to..my turt is acting normal/active..do you all think that he is just eating his poop?..i hope hes not constipated or anything like that..any comments?

He's probably eating it while your not around, no need to worry. Luckily mine dont eat their own poop

If he's active, eating alright and still pooping every now and then, then he's alright.
Young? Tell me about it, he's so tiny! Just wait till he gets all big and heavy in a year or two.

A lot of creatures feed on poop because there is often a lot of undigested material in there, especially vegetable matter. Perhaps baby turtles are just trying to get the most out of their meals?
Also, if he's eating veggies, that will make his stools looser making them break up in the water current and easier to get sucked up by the filter.

pooping is back to normal..lol..got a turkey baster and i clean all the lil nuggets out asap in the morning..hope he doesnt miss his turd treats..haha..
