Ok, so you all know that feeding too much plant material would give a turtle diarreha, but people said you have to give them some plant material everyday! I haven't seen one Serra poop that was flaky and stuff...

I'm real confused now. :?

Is runny poop bad for the turtle? It'd be easier to come out, wouldn't it? lol

How much are you giving her?

It's usually dandelion leaves, romaine lettuce ( sorry, the green-leaf turned all mushy) and water hyacinth leaves.

It's usually the size of her shell, ( not how much would fit in her shell, just the size of it.) the amount of plants she eats.

Sounds OK... no need to worry about it ;)

I just wouldn't give it to her all at once, though I'm not assuming that you are.

Runny poop is more of pain to clean. When my turtles eat a lot of leafy veggies, their poop isn't really runny---it's more fibrous and breaks apart easily, sending bits of brownish leaves all over the tank. For smaller turtles, I try to suction out the poop with a turkey baster asap.

oh yea that's what I mean. It flakes apart into brown leaves...

When I see some poop, I pull out the big red turkey baster, but as soon as Serra sees it, she gets all excited and kicks at her poop and scatters it all everywhere.
I think Orange Juice ( the platy) helps clean up the tank a bit and his poop isn't as flaky.

oh Orange Juice is a platy, which is sort of like a guppy. (small orange fish) He poops in long solid strings which is easier to clean.lol
