my turtle seems to like to eat it's own poop rather than the pellets i give him
is that a problem? :shock:

As disgusting as it may be it is normal for them to chow down on their own poop.

My res used to go after and eat his poop when he was younger. Now he pretty much leaves it alone, and I get to net it out. :) You might keep a net nearby and net out any poop if you see it. With less choice, your turtle might be more interested in his pellet. :)

Unfortunately they do that, regardless if they are hungry or not. They just eat, period. The best you can do is to scoop it out if you happen to see it in the tank.....
