I tried feeding my turtle some carrots today as people said I should add some veggies and she ignored them.. is there anyway to make her eat the healthy veggies?

Did you try feeding leafy greens like romaine lettuce? Sometimes turts are shy about eating when a person is around & they may eat it when you leave. How long were the veggies in the tank? Leave them in for up to 8 hours and see what happens. My baby hatchling used to mow 'em when I wasn't around.

You can also try adding some anacharis. It's a green pond plant that baby turtles like to eat & shred. I used to find pieces of it everywhere, but it gives them something to do & eat while you are gone!

Keep in mind that some turts don't like carrots. Others may only like cooked ones (like my adult RES). I would go right down the list of foods to try & leave pieces in the tank so your baby can nip at things. My experience is that a lot of turts will nip at things when they are bored.

Any pet store that sells fish should have it & it's not expensive. It's a plant that looks like a long furry snake (little leaves on a long stalk make it look kinda furry). You should be able to get a decent amount for less than $3 & baby turtles LOVE it. I think you will enjoy watching your turtle play with this stuff. Have fun!
