I have a res named Tommy he's about 4 in. long. I have been feeding him the pellets and yam, and I was wondering how often should I feed him, and how much a day? Also how do I get him to eat the romaine lettuce b/c now just ignores it? Are there any other green veggies that he would like more?

Here's some good info on feeding. There are sections on how much and how often, and how to entice them to eat their greens.
The first veggie my turtle ate was basil. He loved it from the start and would eat it when he wouldn't eat anything else. Now that he's grown he eats greens of all sorts every day, but he didn't start doing this until maybe 6 months ago. He's now 6 1/2 inches long and almost 4 years old.
Different turtles have different preferences. Some like carrots but Spot doesn't. Spot likes an occasional apple peal but won't touch a strawberry.

a lot of people seem to have problems giving turtles their veggies. the advice is unanimous, just keep giving them veggies.
a good variety is necessary. mine are particularly fond of carrots and green bell peppers. there are two lists in sticky form on the top of this forum that has a to feed and not to feed list, i go by that.
