Hi there, I have 3 RES and they're all about 2 inches and around a year old. So I was reading these posts and was wondering how you could breed rosey reds or guppies. Also recently I was out in the woods and found a clearing with pretty long grass and noticed many snails on top the blades. I was wondering if it'd be safe to catch them, also I was wondering how to breed those as well and if you all thought it'd be a good idea. I've only been feeding my RES with pellets, dried shrimp, and veggies so far, but I wasn't sure if they were big enough to eat the feeder fish, etc...because they looked to be the same size. Thanks for all the help around here....

I just typed up a sticky on breeding feeder guppies...it's in this section. I've read where many people here have had no success with breeding their rosy reds. I have never had them and don't know anything about them.

I have snails that I breed as well, although they live in the water. They are the type that hitch rides on aquarium plants at the stores. I just asked for a few and they gave them to me. They don't sell them, so that's about the best you can do. The snails eat the waste and leftovers from the fish I breed. I don't do anything special for any of them. Just feed them and watch multiply.
