Feeding and Nutrition :: How much Romaine to feed?

Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have now had Zeke for almost 3 weeks. He's doing great. He's eating really well. At first I didn't think he was eating the Romaine but he's eating it great now...just leaves a few bites floating around. He eats his HBH Turtle Bites each day, I've started breaking it down into 2 feedings per day as he didn't seems to be getting satisfied otherwise...plus he still needs to gain some weight. He loves shrimp, and he loves crickets. My question is, how much Romaine or other Lettuce do I feed him each day? I know that the pellets depend on his head size, but the lettuce...I'm sort of baffled at. I've been giving him an entire leave of the Romaine and he seems to be eating most of it throughout the day/night. Do I need to feed more/less? Just wondering. I am going to start with an occastional fruit that's on the safe list here shortly.

I have two turtles and I usually throw in 3 leaves. You'll know if you are feeding too much, cause your turtle will get the runs!

I usually throw in one or two leaves, which Ralph rips to shreds (I'm not sure if he acutally eats any ) and then scoop it out in a couple days :P

Yes but depending on the size of your RES. My Zeke is 7" so it's nothing for him to eat the whole Leaves.

Both of my turts are about 4 inches. They will devour 3 leaves (red lead lettuce without the stalks) in about 2 hours.
