It's what we are using. I liked the better quality ingredient list.

I haven't noticed any difference as we transitioned from the tetra baby pellets.

I use it for variance in my turtle's diet - he loves it! I too like the higher quality ingredient list.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been feeding Shelly the Omega adult pellets and Kelp Plus since January.. along with her "greens". Does anyone have thoughts on the dried river shrimp from Fluker's and some other companies? We were feeding her some, but I was recently told that it might not be a good idea since we are not sure which river is the source. :msgreen:

I use Omega one along with Reptomin pellets for variety. I like the ingredients, as well, in the Omega One. I'm gonna be switching to Mazuri freshwater turtle food from the Reptomin after the Reptomin is all gone. I will still buy a small bottle of Reptomin and use it as a once a week treat for variety. But I have been convinced the Mazuri has better ingredients. As for the dried shimp, you can use them as a limited treat. Like once a week give a couple, kinda of thing. They don't have much vitamins or minerals, if any.

I picked up Omega One Shrimp Pellets from the fish section. It is less expensive then the turtle pellets (seems to always be the case - stuff designated for turtles are priced higher, when the same is available labeled for fish) and appear to have very similar make up. I also like that the pellets sink and that they don't break down as fast. They are the size of baby Reptomin. Here is the ingredient list... is there anything that should concern me?

Ingredients:

Whole Shrimp, Whole Salmon, Cod, Whole Herring, Seafood Mix (Including Krill, Rockfish, Shrimp, Squid, Slams, Salmon Eggs, and Octopus), Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Lecithin, Astaxanthin, L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Natural and Artificial Colors, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement,Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid, Biotin, Inositol, Tocopherol (Preservative), Ethoxyquin (Preservative).

Guaranteed Analysis:

Crude protein (min) 38%, crude fat (min) 8%, crude fiber (max) 2%, moisture (max) 8.5%, ash (max) 10%, phosphorus (min) .5%, omega 3 (min) 2%, omega 6 (min) 1%.

Everything looks fine with the pellet. Omega one anything is the cream of the crop in foods. As for flucker's dried river shrimp like slider said use as a treat, not something that should be used every week. Very Very high in protein which is not good for a turtle.

Mazuri is better then reptomin, reptomin lacks in Vitamin E, higher then most in protien and is abundantly high in starch also.

Great! Thanks for the feedback - Omega One Shrimp pellets are over $2 less than the Omega One Turtle pellets.
