Right now I'm using zoo med natural maintenance formula. Are these ok, or is there something better? Also, she has never eaten vegetables, only pellets and crickets. What is the best way to feed veggies?

Mazuri is considered the best... Reptomin is very good. I haven't used zoo med natural maintenance formula before, but I don't like their foods in general. If you do continue to use it, consider mixing it with another pellet.

To get your RES started on veggies, look into a veggie clip and freshwater aquatic plants.

I think the zoo meds newer food are pretty well put together. Though id say change from the zoo med still. Its very low in protien. Its a pellet that is really good for a full grown turtle rather then a turtle growing. Like most pellets it lacks in vitamin E which helps with the shedding.

In my opinion best pellets now are:
Mazuri- Best price but have to buy in large amounts
Omega One Adult Turtle Sticks- Probably the best but a little on the expensive side and has low in fiber.
ZooMed Natural Aquatic Turtle Growth- Lacks in Vitamin E

With all pellets I say add in a mix of Hikari Wheat-Germ. 3 to 1 basically, a splash with your main pellets. The vitamins in it are awesome. Covers adding variety to the diet and makes up for the lack of Vitamin E that any pellet might not be up to par in.

The place near me that carries mazuri can only order it in 50 lb containers. Petsmart had Omega One adult turtle food, but is that for aquatic turtles? For now I got reptomin sticks, and she likes those. I'm getting ready to try some lettuce, but how do you feed other items that don't float, like apples, carrots, etc?

It usually doesn't matter if it floats... if the turtle sees it, it will try to eat it. If there's something messy to offer, I would use a separate feeding container.
