One of my two RES that are both 8 months old finally ate some Romain :) It was something I have been trying and hoping for for a while. Seems they just were stuck on pellets , blood worms and red rosies.

Thanks to this forum I am hoping for more positive out looks with my pair of turtles.

Great news indeed. Keep up the good work! Have you tried other veggies?

So far I have tried only Romain, carrots and tomatoes. They seem to only like the lettuce so far.

If you can, try red leaf lettuce. It has more calcium and it costs about the same as romaine. How are you preparing the carrots?

I haven't tried carrots in a 1 or 2 months I don't think I did though. I did wash them though I remember that much.

Carrots usually are liked by RES. You can shred them into thin pieces before you give it them.

Thanks man. You have been monumentally helpful with helping me care for my turtles.

I just had watched both my turtles tag team another piece of romain along side most of fish trying to eat the romain as well :)
