Feeding and Nutrition :: Goldfish Feeder

Hey guys,

So, I decided to buy a dozen goldfish feeders to see if my turtles will eat them and they did. I just wanted to know, how often should my RESs eat goldfish feeders? or even guppies.

a RES should not be fed goldfish, they r high in protein and fat. a RES can eat guppies and minnows tho

Yeah goldfish are very fatty and not good for your turtle. You can feed him one but just give away the other 11 if you don't want them. Minnows are much better and cheaper well at my petstore they are. But still then only 1 or 2 a month.

Oh darn. I didn't know. Only reason why I got it was it was cheap and I saw a few people on Youtube feeding their RES goldfishes. If I do plan on feeding the goldfishes, should I lay off the pallets for awhile?

Yes... I don't use live prey, but others use minnows/guppies roughly once a month.
