What is cuttle bone and how do i use it?

What is it? I know it is for turt shells but how do i use it? Whats the difference between the ones for birds and the ones for turts?

Its a fish bone. You buy them from the pet store in the bird section and take off the hard backing and put it in your turtles tank. It floats and they eat it.

Yeah the ones made for the birds are much more cheaper then the ones made for the turtle.

No, they just market it for turtle owners, thinking that we'd pay more.

Yeah there's nothing different about them at all just the box and price. Would buy them if they had no hard backing though.
