OK so i went to petsmart to buy some food now usually i buy my turtles this http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=2752328 its a 1.55oz container with mini stick pellets and mini krill and baby shrimp for $7.79 it last about a month maybe one and a half between my 2 res well this time i when and couldn't find any so i kept looking and found this http://www.petco.com/product/109417/Flu ... -Food.aspx now i only found it online at petco but petsmart had it in stores for $7.99 and has shrimp meal worms pellets and krill and its blended well by what they should have the most of and not so much and its also about 9times larger then the other brand i use to buy which was only 1.55 oz and this is 8oz for only 20cents more so i was just wanting to let all of y'all know about this new cheap food brand i found and hope this will save y'all money and trips to pet store

First, turtles DO NOT need krill or shrimp or meal worms. Those are high in protein and WILL lead to pyramiding at some point in their life.

Second, if you went through that container in a month and a half, you are overfeeding. I went through 1 of these: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.j ... Id=2754111 and 1 of these: http://www.petco.com/product/10002/Tetr ... ticks.aspx , both about 4 ounces of each product, for my 1 6.5" turtle, in 2 1/2 years. So, like 8 ounces of food in 2 1/2 years, versus you giving 1.55 ounces in 1 1/2 months.

I would look at your feeding ...

yes i know but my turtles are under a year old and feed them daily but not to much i know that but since urs is a older turtle its suppose to get less pellets and less often so it would last u longer then it last me

Even when I was feeding a head-sized amount daily, I was feeding 3 pellets. Now she gets 8 pellets daily (half-head sized), so she is eating far more now than she was as a baby.

I'm just concerned that you will start to see pyramiding if you are feeding too much, and pyramiding is irreversible shell damage, as well as stress to the internal organs, decreased lifespan, etc. Totally not worth giving them that extra krill or shrimp or whatever ...
