Just curious, besides feeder guppies, shrimp and snails, what other kinds of seafood are okay for turtles to eat? And of course, how would you prepare such things for them?

Tuna canned in water is also OK. I've also fed my turtle's salmon, lightly cooked, and canned salmon (in water) is also fine. I've given them half a cooked prawn each (the kind you can buy frozen in rings). Today I bought some frozen plankton from the pet store for them (though I haven't tried it on them yet). The key, of course, is moderation

I've given Umi various types of whitefish, occasional catfish, shrimp, and things out of cans/pouches. She doesn't get anything often, and I avoid traditional tuna in a can because it makes a mess. Normally we cut a small head-ish sized piece of human fish and wrap it in it's own piece of aluminum foil or parchment paper and I cook it until done, normally much less than ours gets cooked. Then I let it cool and drop it in or hand feed her. She normally grabs the whole piece and tears off in the other direction. Just remember, no oil, no seasonings.
