what about tadpoles

are they a good food, or a bad one ?

Turtles, in the wild do eat frogs. Just make sure the tadpoles are supposed to turn into frogs, and not toads (toads are poisonous if eaten).
I would buy them from a pet store, definitely, and gut load them with vitamins and food before feeding them. Don't use wild caught tadpoles, you have no idea what they could be carrying.
That's a pretty interesting idea. Hadn't thought of it before.

I think they can, since in their wild habitats, they eat a lot of live prey. I also have never thought about it, but who knows, it seems like a good idea!
