I picked some the other day, and brought them home. Thought I'd try them on the turtles.
Neither of them are that keen on any kind of fruits (I've had a little success with melon).
Ralph will try anything. He seemed pretty interested in them. I think he liked the sweetness, but not the seeds. He bit a little piece off, and chewed it up a bit, but spit out the seeds.
Frankie reacted how she does with any new food; Inspect it closely, then shy away from it in fear. Time will tell if she tries them, or if I end up having to scoop them back out.
According to the nutritional info on wikipedia, they've got a higher amount of calcium and vitamin E than blueberries!
I planted some seeds, so fingers crossed I'll have my own trees in a couple years
