Feeding and Nutrition :: Pyramiding question...

Is it "ok" (and I'm using the term loosely) for a hatchling RES to have a somewhat pointy / pyramiding shell?

Should I pull most protein-esque food to help combat this?

I don't see any pyramiding. I was confused at first too, and I'd mistaken the keel along the spine for pyramiding. That's just the normal shape of a young turtle's shell.

The raised spine is normal for young turtles. Pyramiding is when each individual scute is raised to look like a pyramid.

your good dont worry that little dude is cute! you should look up some pics they are some crazy things out there some people just dont realize and a hatchling needs alot of protien ..........
