Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

My turtle won't eat any type of vegetables. I offer her some every day, but she just lets them sink to the bottom of the cage. Is there a certain type of vegetable to begin with that turtles like more often. Also, she is only about 1 inch, so is it alright that she won't eat them yet. I know it says hatchlings and juveniles don't really eat vegetables but should be offered, I'm just not exactly sure how big of a turtle is considered a juvenile. Thanks for any help!

If your hatchling is an inch, s/he's going to be more interested in animal rather than plant matter. And I don't know what or how you've offered what you've given your turtle, but unless it's leafy greens or perhaps carrot peels, the pieces should be really small and easy to bite.

If you can, get some anachris from a petstore that sells aquatic plants. Keep a few strands in the tank (they won't go bad unless you have no filtration, which I'm assuming you do). Little ones often like to nibble on the stuff (it's good for them) and hide and rest on them as well.

I feed my turtle at the same time and place in the cage everyday. She (or he, I just refer to her as a girl, ha) comes to the top of the cage and I feed her. When I give her carrots, lettuce, or any other vegetables she just spits them out. I do have a few plants in the cage, but she just hides in them. Maybe she is too young to like vegetables. I'll just keep offering them to her. I did make those turtle "jello shots" today, so I'll try them for now. Thanks for the response!
