hello to everyone. i just got my RES Brady a few days ago. I was wondering if there was a general rule of thumb in regards to his feeding. at this moment i am feeding him shrimp, sticks, and pellets. he enjoys them all. but i hear from some people that some food is better for him at cetain times. some food should be treated as treats and not a regular staple of his diet. i was wondering what can he eat regulary and what he should eat on occosian, and the frequency of these feedings. Thanks!

Pellets should be the staple. feed how ever much would fit into the head if it were hollow once a day. after he gets to 4 inches feed every other day. feed veggies everyday even if he doesnt eat them. everything else really should be an occasional treat

thanks for the info. Brady is at about 4 inches right now. is that a year old? what should Brady's week look like in the feeding department? i'm sorry for being a pest, but i just want to make sure that Brady is well taken care of.

its hard to tell how old a turtle is based on size because other things also contribute to growth but generally a turtle will grow to 4 inches the first year of life. i feed pellets every other day and offer veggies everyday. about once a month i give a little bit of krill. everyone has different routines though
