I have two babies (almost a year old) they're about 2.5-3" long.
When should I try to feed them feeder guppies or crickets? They seem to be getting bored of just veggies and pellets.

He looks like she should be able to handle live food, I mean they have to eat in the wild some how.

Any turtle can handle live food at any age.

Whether they can handle them immediately or not, if you put live fish in, they'll try their hardest to catch them. But you'd be amazed at what owners have seen their turtles eat, so I wouldn't worry about your turtle. When my turtle was smaller, I would ask for smaller rosie red minnows, it made me feel better.

Update:
I got 4 rosie red's and put them in. They chased them around for an hour and finally caught one. They seem to be leaving them alone for now but when they think the fish arent looking they'll sneak in to try and grab a bite!
Thanks for the advice!

That's one of my girl's tricks. She pretends to lose interest int he fish so that she can grab one if they get too complacent near her.
