So I have read around here that your turtle should eat the amount of pellets that could fit inside it's head as if it were hollow. Do veggies like romaine lettuce follow the same rule? Or is this rule made so not too much proteins are consumed. Thanks again.

The rule is to limit the amount of protein in the diet and it applies to pellets only. Your turtle can have all the green leafy things and water plants he wants....until he eats so much he gets the runs, then you may want him to cut back!

On veggies and fruit with more sugars and starch, limit them to one or two servings a week - I mean things like carrots, sweet potatoes, blueberries, etc.
