what veggies and fruits will turtles REALLY go for?

hi, i have two red ear slider i just got about a 2 weeks ago, both about 3-4 inches in diameter. they were bought in chinatown and were POORLY cared for. They have already began pyramiding on their shells and i want to give them more veggies and fruits...what do you guys recommend that they would like?

Most turtles love red and orange things, especially carrots. Look through the list of acceptable foods at the top of this forum and pick some colorful or strongly flavored things. If your turtle doesn't like greens, try sweet basil, they usually are really attracted to the taste. Red bell peppers are good as a treat too. Too much sugar isn't good, but turtles also tend to like strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.
