My turtle only eats hotdogs... I know it is REALLY bad for him But i tried EVERYTHING!!!! the only thing he attacked and ate was hotdog which was my last resort.... PLEASE HELP! i have know idea how to get him to eat pellets... Ive tried dunking them in Tuna, HE WASNT INTRESTED!!!! HELP!!!! thank you to all who REPLY!

Well you might have to do a tough technique. Give him NOTHING but pellets. if he doesn't eat them, wait till the next day. He'll get hungry enough to eat it.

I dont think he know what the pellets are... I do not think he sees them as food.... Prbably sees them as little annoying things floating arround heeting pushed under by the filter... lol... but ill try that thanks

I guess he smelled the meat and liked the smell and literally attacked it... Will Someone give me advice on what i asked in the Indoor Habitat section?

I think your turtle might be attracted to the red colour.

Try a little freeze-dried shrimp. Shrimp aren't all that healthy but at least they are better than hot dog.

rub the pellets in some hot dog see if smell works

If your turtle is otherwise healthy, just offer the pellets. It might take a day, or two or three but it'll work. Just don't cave in. No living creature should be eating hot dogs!

What's your water temperature? If it's too cool your turtle won't want to eat, keep it around 78-80 for a hatchling.
