Feeder fish do not have much nutriional value. They are considered snack for the most part. So what they were doing at petco is inappropriate feeding. You could probably give them 1 or 2 maybe once a month or less. I usually feed live fish in the tank itself.

Do yourself a favor and dont follow anything the idiots at petco do. Feeder fish should be given rarely (once every two weeks, or once a month) with all that protein their turtles are probably going to suffer from health problems one day, overfeeding is realy bad, it is believed to shorten life span or cause liver problems, dont know which, but I think everyone will agree with me that those turtles are getting too much protein...you should feed your turtle everyday if it is under 4 inches, if it is over 4 inches long, you should feed it every other day, or 2 times a week is okay too. from what I heard. Vegetables should be offered everyday, aquatic plants are better. I cant stand those people.. :x
