Im trying to find a wheat germ pellet food to add to Rangers food schedule. Does every kinda of KOI food or pond food have germ wheat inside them? Or just the ones labeled as wheat germ pellets.

Look for the one that has it as the first ingredient, like this: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... catid=5569

Wheat germ meal has been processed.

"When wheat germ is ground down into a flour-like substance, this is called wheat germ meal. It may also contain bran or other parts of the wheatberry in addition to the wheat germ. Because it is a processed food product, the wheat germ meal's protein and fat levels may vary in contrast to the purity of wheat germ. It is used in products such as fish food as well as a nutritional supplement for humans."

Steve, I remember you recommending these to me before for Tesla's shedding.
If I put wheat germ Koi pellets into Tesla's diet to help him shed, about how much should I give him? Just maybe go 50/50 with a head's worth? <____<;;

From what I've read, people are using it once a week replacing a normal pellet portion. I wouldn't go 50% but maybe up to 25%. This is just the new "thing", so it might not work out but at least koi pellets are usually decent food.

Could I feed it twice a week instead of once for more wheat germ for more shedding? He's shedding right now so I want to help him.

Well, not much info on whether more will increase shedding but I don't see it as a problem.
