Has anyone tried this? Did your turtle like it? It comes in frozen cubes and someone at the pet store recomended it. I offered it to mine, but so far no eating. Just made a mess out of the tank.

I have some in the freezer right now. It's good quality stuff with a good reputation. My turtle likes his, I'm not quite sure how you'd entice them to eat something like this.

With messy treats, it's best to use a separate feeding container.

Crush has been on this since we got him and he loves it. He will jump out of the water when he sees the green container it comes in.

When I first bought it for my hatchling Tilly didn't eat it (still in that stressed out phase) but now Tilly goes crazy for it! I think it is something your turtle will definitely warm up to.

I throw the cube in Pickle's tank whole and she goes nuts for it. I use it for a treat. I have ghost shrimp in her tank and they clean up any crumbs that get away from Pickle!

I saw online that they have a juvenile formula as well. I'm hoping that I can find it in stores but so far no success.

agreed with all above.

i JUST bought these this week in an attempt to get Hank to eat some vegetables. I gave it to him right before I was going to clean the tank. It is VERY messy but he was the happiest probably EVER.

I would but it is pointless to spend $25 on shipping a $3 product.

If you go to the manufacturer's website it will have a list of stores that cary their products. Then you can at least call the stores to see if they cary the turtle specific one. I purchased it from a non-chain pet store in my hometown.

I have seen it at Petsmart, in the frozen section. It was pretty cheap too. It was the petsmart in billings montana. And the turtle habitat was pathetic.

MissMandy, you might try taking a knife and cutting the cube into quarters before giving it to your turtle. A smaller size might make it easier to eat and will make it minimally less messy if it's small enough for your turtle to place in his mouth in one gulp.

I find this type of product to be good (I use the San Francisco Bay Brand), but fairly expensive for everyday use (I give some weekly to my turts). It has just gone up from $4.99 to $5.99 for a blister pack.

BTW, checked the package, and Healthy Herp is San Francisco Bay Brand. :)
