Nope. Try feeder fish, guppies, or rosey red minnows.

White clouds are OK. They're just another type of minnow. Those are the only feeder fish you can get here besides gold fish. Not sure about the other ones.

I have wondered this too. Honestly, I don't see why it matters as they probably eat several kinds of fish in the wild. I really don't know so I just feed feeder fish to my turtles.

im sure there is no problem if you give them as a treat however i belive the danios might be ok but mollies are to fatty, danios are more minnow like and are a leaner fish so they probably would be fine

ok thanks.. what about ghost shrimp as a treat maby. I was thinking the shell is bad. they have guppies too.. but no minnows anywhere. I am in washington and I do remember someone telling me that these certain minnows with a black stripe down them were illeagal for sale because some people were releasing them into the wild.

I've heard of people using ghost shrimp in there turtle tanks to clean up the scrap food and poop, and they usually get eaten fast. Ghost Shrimp are known to transmit shell diseases, just like crayfish
