Feeding and Nutrition

Yeah of course algae. I might buy them and replace the janitor fish. I really don't like having them but for cleaning purposes, oh well. algae eaters look good inside a tank.

Yeah they are pretty active and will swim from one driftwood to another in my tank.

I got rid of my janitor fish. The big black one. Turns out he was the one making the tank dirty after separating the RES from the janitor fish for 2 days. How ironic. Do algae eaters produce plenty of waste? My RES might be affected from this.

I don't notice it but then again, I'm running 2 FX5s on a 150 gal.

Did Toku tried to bite an algae eater before?

I actually got 4 total and two of them disappeared in the matter of a couple days. But the two in there now have been with him for a couple years now. So I would say it is possible that you could lose one or two, but once they figure out what to do they can stay around.

I see. I'll find some elusive fish then.

Yeah fast and alert fish is the key.
