It comes to a point where if they dont smell meat they wont go near it! I've tried dipping it in chicken stock but the chicken stock dissolves into the water! Theyre both under a year old, could it be that they are still to young to go into a veggie diet? How do i get my turtles to eat vegetables?!

Did you try dipping them in the juice inside tuna, the smell usually attracts them.....also you might try the turtle shot recipe on this forum. It's the only way i could get my turtle to eat veggies at all.

Very young hatchlings aren't interested in plant matter. But, if introduced to it, especially leafy greens, early, they do figure out that they're something to eat. You could try "marinating" pieces of lettuce in the water of sardines or tuna overnight to help the fishy scent remain in the leaves.
