Should i boil it? If so how long, and do i skin it first?

I usually either peel it or cut it into thin strips, then put it in a bit of water (so it's covered), and put it in the microwave until it's soft, usually 3-4 mins.

You don't need to skin it first, there's lots of good nutrients in the peel.

I don't know. I think boiling it might remove some nutrients.
Some people steam or bake the sweet potato, which probably lets it hold on to more nutrients, but it does take a bit longer.

I steam slices until they start to soften (takes just a few minutes). Then I cut the slices into pieces that are easy to eat.
