Feeding and Nutrition :: can I feed my turtle kirkland chicken breast or prefertably.

im sure she'd probably eat it but u need to think about her diet as a whole. u can feed him tuna to but she needs a well rounded diet. So if u do feed her chicken breast or tuna (both which are very high in protein) u need to give plenty of veg and vitamins and make sure u dont over feed or over do it with the protein rich products, too much protein => too much growth => pyramiding. My advice try it if she likes it give it but once in a while, first make sure she gets a well rounded diet with all the vitamins she needs. how old is she? that to can have an effect on how much veg she will eat and so all the more reason not to over do it with the protein, hope it helps n gud luck

like ch12ag said, there is no doubt your turtle would love the meat, but you shouldn't feed it to him or her.

depending on how old your turtle is, the staple of the diet should be veggies and pellets every day.

well a well rounded schedule like lettuce every other day and pellets every other day. and maybe some meat protein once every two weeks

the key to a healthy diet is being a controlled owner, it is very easy to get carried away and feed the turtle everything just because the turtle eats everything too haha

You can feed a head-sized piece of fish or chicken about once per month as a treat, but no more often than that, and you cannot give any other high protein treats that month (so no feeder fish, crickets, egg whites, etc). The fish or chicken must be in water (no oil), and I recommend the stuff that comes out of the pouches because to me, the canned stuff just dissipates in the water making it murky.
