Feeding and Nutrition :: My RES just don't eat anythin except fish food

Hi can anyone help me? y is my RES not eating the veggie or turtle pellet that i m giving it except the fish pills that i gave to my fish... i m worried about him not getting a balance diet. What can i do to feed him the food i gave him??

Generally all it takes is holding out until the turtle is hungry enough that he'll eat what you give him. There are things you can do, like soaking the pellets in tuna water, but that's probably not necessary.

Thanks for the help.... today i started to feed him with small dried fish n he started eating. But they seems not to continue when the fish gets into the water

I have run into the same problem. Every morning one of my turtles is very enthusiastic about feeding time, but will only eat one or two pellets. He'll occasionally put one in his mouth, spit it out, and look up at me for more food. When he sees the orange goldfish container meant for the minnows, he goes bonkers and will only eat flakes.
