Feeding and Nutrition :: Help my turtle wont eat!

I have a res that doesn't want to eat i tried giving him pellets,and veggies.But he wont eat them all he does is bask its freaking me out what should i do?

whats the water temp?if its too cold he won't eat.

I dont know but its pretty warm and he wont even try to go in the water and if i put him in the water he will just float at the top and get back on the basking platform.

Is his mouth open when he breaths? If he has an resportory infection he wouldn't want to swim.

If the temps aren't too cool, then it sounds like your turtle doesn't feel good. How long has he been acting like this? Lethargy and loss of appetite are the number one symptoms of turtle illness. Sometimes a turtle will just have a slow day or will be more picky about his/her food for awhile, but if the behavior lasts more than a couple of days, then it probably means the turtle is feeling poorly.

How long have you had him? Was he eating previously but then stoppped? If so, how long has he not been eating?

Do his eyes look swollen? Does he have any other symptoms?
