Feeding and Nutrition :: Reptomin Mazuri or Wardley

I'm totally stuck. I cannot decide between Reptomin Wardley or Mazuri pellets. I know Wardley isn't up there in popularity but it seems the same as Mazuri and Reptomin.

I've heard Wardley is lacking in a few nutrients, but with a balanced diet I'm sure it's fine.

A few years back, I switched from Nutrifin to Reptomin. When it came to re-ordering, I could get either Reptomin or Mazuri for roughly the same price. I stuck with the Reptomin, since Ralph was eating it and I didn't want to mess up his groove

I've fed my turtles both wardley and reptomin. They seem to like both the same.

Sheba has always preferred reptomin as her #1 food of choice, but Mazuri was fine too. She hates wardley's.

As long as you balance their diet, wardley's should be ok to feed once in a while.

I have been feeding Reptomin, and probably will for quite a while since I just bought one of the bigger canisters of the stuff. lol

I will try Mazuri soon though, when I can get it. They are a high quality food, and I think they should be up there with Reptomin, just that Mazuri is not as widely available as Reptomin so they take the most popular spot.

Oh and I have a small canister of Wardley, But I have never even fed it because like Bulldog said, it's missing some good stuff.

Reptomin and Mazuri are top flight turtle food brands. Spot loves them both and sometimes he gets one, sometimes the other. When he was young I tried several different brands - zoo med and monster and I believe wardley too, but he didn't care for any of them.

I would stick with reptomin. I have also heard it is not the best nutrition wise. But also I had once bought it one time a few weeks later I found little tiny bugs in it so I would stick with reptomin
