Feeding and Nutrition :: Is there a way to keep duck weed out of the filter?

I bought some lovely duckweed, and it kinda just floats there. Baruch and Sara haven't quite decided they like it yet. Well, we have a decent filter and I noticed today it was clogged with duckweed and sputtering a bit. I want to keep the greens floating for a turtle salad bar, but am not sure what to do about the filter . . . any suggestions? Thanks!

You could put somthing like panty hose over the intake and tie it off with a rubber band that should help.

Ya know! I was just thinking this myself last night while putting a new knee high over our washing machine hose! Thanks!
