Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

I have been feeding my RES Zoo Med pellets and he loves them, I recently ran out and got him reptomini he seems not to like them as much but people say that i should be giving him repto mini. One day I'll give him reptomini and the next the zoomed. Does any one give there RES two different kinds of pellets like reptomini and zoomed or should i only stick with one type?

Sure alot of people on here do that
It gives the turtle a variety in taste

If you want him to get stuck to one
Then i sujest the rotating schedule
One day zoo med one day reptomin
But then slowly give him more reptomin
2 days reptomin
1 day zoomed
keep increasing until you see change in his interest

Actually, rotating pellets is a good idea not only because it keeps the turtles from getting bored, but also because one brand of pellet is probably better in some areas, while another brand of pellet is better in others, so when you mix them up you are probably getting the best of both worlds.

I've been trying to get my Brooks to begin eating pellets again...I used to give her the reptomin and then she just slowly stopped eating them and would just let them float by. I took away all of her "treats" for awhile and just let her have some aquatic plants, veggies/leaf lettuce/turnip greens, and bought her Wardley's pellets this time. She actually went right after them, so maybe switching them up helps

I rotate between 3-4 different pellets. It helps them from not fixating on any one brand and I figure the nutrients in one will help balance out what might be lacking in another.

By Repto Mini do you mean Reptomin Baby?

I've fed my turtle Repto Min since I got him. I figure if he's lived 18 years eating it, it must be good! LOL I have fed him others when I was unable to get Repto for some reason, and i've never had a problem with him not eating them. That's a good tip about rotating them though...
