Well i was wondering if i could make a pond out of 2 kiddie pools.With Flagstone.Will the Turtles be ok for the winter?How much will it cost?Any ideas or help?idies for it are apreciated.

it wouldn't be deep enough. the pond has to be 3' or deeper for the turtles to be able to hibernate...

Cement mixing tubs. Their the same as Hard pond liner except in generic shapes like mine.

For turtles that will be out in the cold, even in south Texas, the best solution would be to bring them in when temps drop. Hibernation is very hard on turtles and unless conditions are just right, they can be killed or damaged. You could provide good short term housing for them indoors with an inexpensive rubber maid tub or stock tank.

You can hibernate your turtles, but I wouldn't recommend it. A stock tank is the way to go for a cheap pond, or if you can put something in the ground pre-formed ponds are even cheaper. Of course the cheapest solution is to dig your own pond and buy a liner. You'll need a powerful heater, or like SpotsMama said temporary housing indoors.
